1936. Adler Trumpf-Junior. (Little Larry).
This amazing little car is truly deserving of the description "a timewarp vehicle".
I have owned it for the past 5 years, but before this it was owned by one family from new. It comes with its entire history from new, its orginal bill of sale, all original documentation, and a genuine recorded mileage of only 105,000km, the last 5 of which I have covered myself.
This car has never been restored. The paintwork of the body and the interior are entirely original. The original rubber mats are in place. The original headlining is unmarked. The car remained unused and covered in blankets in a dark, and dry garage from 1973 to 2004. Consequently, all rubber seals on the windows are still soft and in good condition throughout.
Although made in considerable numbers for nearly 10 years, the Adler Trumpf-Junior is quite a rare car now even in its native Germany. This car is one of only two believed to be in use in the UK.
It is reliable, and whilst not exactly fast on only 25bhp, has many sophisticated features not found on British light cars of the 1930s. Front wheel drive, all independent suspension, 4 speed gearbox, conterbalanced crankshaft, and simple, but very comfortable seating.
In 2005, my daughter and I travelled, mostly on minor roads, to the annual Adler ralley in central Germany, an 800 mile round trip, achieved with absolutely no problems whatsoever. In a line up of Trumpf-Juniors, all except Larry, restored cars, the magnetic appeal of the unrestored, totally original car was obvious, always a crowd around it. £8000.00

MG VA Saloon
With much regret, I have decided that I should part with AMO, my beloved VA Saloon.
Many of you will have seen AMO around at rallies, both in the UK, and on the continent, and will know that this is one of the very best VA saloons in the world.
It was the subject of a total “nut and bolt” and fully documented restoration, completed here at SVW eight years ago at a cost of £44,000.00 and since then, has been used regularly and most reliably, clocking up about 10,000 miles. Amazingly, over this time, the car has retained the new leather smell of the interior! During the body rebuild, particular attention was paid to door gaps and sealing, and this has really paid off, as all gaps have remained as exemplary as when the car was first restored. All the doors close with that satisfying clunk when pushed to with just one finger.
It goes without saying, that the car is in first class mechanical condition throughout. The only modifications from standard being a high ratio crown wheel and pinion for more relaxed 60mph cruising and telescopic shock absorbers for ride and handling improvements.
As well as being one of the best and most comprehensively restored VA Saloons in the world, AMO has a particularly interesting and fully documented history since it was first registered as an MG Car Company factory demonstrator. A selection of photographs taken on a VA press day are of special interest, with shots of Cecil Kimber searching for something in AMO’s boot! These photographs live in AMO’s dashboard glove box.
Please contact me to view any of the collection of 131 photographs of the rebuild and AMO in action around Europe.

SA Salmons Tickford DHC (1937)
This photo shows an example of an SA Tickford we have completed in another colour scheme.
This car is complete and restoration is well underway.
It is to be completed to the purchasers own specifications in terms of body colour, interior colour scheme and chasses detail.
Most mechanical work has been completed, a new body frame has been made, but the car has not yet been assembled.
About 1000 hours of work have already been carried out. About the same length of time will be required to complete the restoration. £POA

SA Saloon 2427
Original registration number CRM 945. March 1938. This is a very nice SA Saloon in a restrained two-tone blue colour scheme with matching, and largely original blue interior, has been known to me since 1974. I have supplied spare parts for its restoration and maintenance to a total of 6 owners over the last 35 years! I feel as though I know it pretty well, although it has had only one lengthy period in our workshops about 4 years ago, for a brake and suspension rebuild, paintwork, and the fitting of our high ratio crown wheel and pinion, and telescopic shock absorbers.
This car is in sound condition and very original throughout, and although it had never been the subject of a total bare chassis rebuild, it is in thoroughly presentable and useable condition in every respect. A good, sound, original running car for half the cost of a concours rebuild.
If you would like futher information on this car, we have available, many more detailed photographs and a sizeable file of the works carried out on the car over the past 35 years. £30000.00
